July 1

Jose Rodriguez, 22 of Friona, was arrested by the Dimmitt Police for DWI 1st Offense.

July 2 Roy Vega, 22 of Friona, was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office for DWI 1st Offense.

July 3

Stacey Buskirk, 37 of Dimmitt, was arrested by the Dimmitt Police for DWI and No Driver’s License.

July 4 Brianna Marie Mendez, 27 of Hart, was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 under 1 gram; Possession of Marijuana under 2 ounces; and Abandon/Endanger Child.

July 5

Matthew Lopez, 1, of Dimmitt, was arrested by the Dimmitt Police for Terroristic Threat; Criminal Mischief over $100-under $750; and Evading Arrest or Detention.

Laku Shia Duran, 19 of Hereford, was arrested by the Dimmitt Police for Minor in Consumption; Disorderly Conduct; and Illegal Dumping under 5 pounds.

Rhiana Ramirez, 17 of Hereford, was arrested by the Dimmitt Police for Disorderly Conduct and Minor in Consumption.

July 7

Drake Jessie Reyes, 28 of Hereford, was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office on a Deaf Smith County warrant for Terroristic Threat of a Public Servant-Motion to Revoke Probation.

Julian Martinez, 22 of Dimmitt, was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office for No Driver’s License.

July 8

Ashley Marie Garcia, 34 of Brownfield, was arrested by the Dimmitt Police for Possession of Marijuana under 2 ounces; Possession of Controlled Substance PG 2 over 1 gram-under 4 grams; and Unlawful Carrying a Weapon.

Pablo Rodriguez Guzman Jr., 37 of Brownfield, was arrested by the Dimmitt Police for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon; Possession of Marijuana under 2 ounces; Possession of Controlled Substance PG 2 over 1 gram-under 4 grams; and Unlawful Carrying a Weapon.

Chande Minjarez Olivas, 21 of Hart, was arrested by the Dimmitt Police for Harboring a Runaway. He was also charged by the Sheriff’s Office with Sexual Assault of a Child and Indecency with a Child from a previous investigation.

Samuel Hernandez Valadez, 29 of Dimmitt, was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office for DWI with B.A.C. over 0.15 and No Driver’s License.

64th DISTRICT COURT Danah Ziropoli, presiding judge Jury Trial Verdict for June 16: Ervin Jose Osorio Miranda, 23, of Dimmitt was found guilty by a Jury of his peers for the offense of Continuous Sexual Assault of a Child. He was sentenced to thirty (30) years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Institutional Division plus fines and court costs.

Judgments for July 11: Amanda Reyes Cruz-Guereque, 37 of Littlefield, pleaded guilty the to the charge of Tampering with Physical Evidence. She was sentenced to five (5) years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice- Institutional Division which was probated for five (5) years, $2000 fine, $370 court costs, $750 Attorney Fees, $50 Crime Line Fee and was ordered by the court to complete 400 hours of community service.

Gwendolyn Sears Pevehouse, 60 of Dimmitt, pleaded guilty to the charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 over 4 grams-under 200 grams. She was sentenced to six (6) years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Institutional Division which was probated for four (4) years, $2000 fine, $325 court costs, $180 in restitution to the Texas DPS Crime Lab, $750 Attorney Fees and $50 Crime Line Fee.

242nd DISTRICT COURT Kregg Hukill, presiding judge Judgments for July 6: Alonso Jesus Lopez, 38 of Dimmitt, pleaded true to violations of his probation on the original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 over 1 gram-under 4 grams. His probation was revoked, and he was sentenced to six (6) years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Institutional Division, $2000 fine, and $403 court costs.

Deanna Kay Birdwell, 55 of Dimmitt, pleaded guilty to the charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 under 1 gram. Her plea of guilt was set aside, and she was placed on three (3) years of Deferred Adjudication Probation, $1000 fine, $325 court costs, $180 restitution to the Texas DPS Crime Lab, Attorney Fees and $50 Crime Line Fee.
