The Nazareth Swiftettes bested the Hartley Lady Tigers in the Bi-District championship round of the playoff s, 62-17. Nazareth came on strong in the first quarter, scoring 23 points while the defense held the Lady Tigers to two points, and hit the second quarter with the same amount of offensive energy, putting another 19 points on the board , while holding Hartley to four points, closing the first half in the lead, 42-6.

Hartley was again unable to curb the Swiftettesoffense in the second half, giving Nazareth a big Bi-District win and advancing them to compete in the Area round.

The Swiftettes scored 21 of 39 2-pointers, five of 19 3-pointers, five of nine free throws, 18 assists, 17 offensive rebounds, 13 defensive rebounds, had 18 assists, one block, 31 deflections, 29 steals, seven fouls, and 11 turnovers.

Double digit shooters were Brooklyn Birkenfeld, with 16 points, one assist, four offensive rebounds, one defensive rebound, three deflections and seven steals;and Brooklyn Dyer, 10 points, two assists, one offensive and defensive rebound, four deflections and three steals.

Tatum Peterson, nine points, one assist, two offensive and defensive rebounds, one block five deflections and one steal;Harley Gerber, seven points, one assist, two offensive rebounds, three fouls, nine deflections and five steals;Riley Ramaekers,seven points, one assist, two offensive , three steals and three fouls;Clementine Myrick, four points, two assists, one offensive and defensive rebound, five deflections and two steals;Chloe Birkenfeld, three points, three assists and one deflection; Maddie Brockman, two points, four assists, two offensive rebounds, one defensive rebound and four steals; Emerson Moore, two points, four assists, two offensive rebounds, one defensive rebound and four steals;and Kattey Gerber, two points, one deflection and two fouls.

Lexi Ramaekers had one offensive rebound, two defensive rebounds and one foul; JV Player#4, two defl ections and one foul; and JV Player#33, one defensive rebound.

The Swiftettes(16-9, 9-0) will play the Follett Lady Panthers (15-9,7-3)in the Area championship game at White Deer on Thursday, Aug. 15 at 6 p.m.
