You Can’t Get Rid of Country

I have come to realize there are two types of girls: town or country. I used to think that it was hard for both to adjust to the other, but time and my own experience has proven that false. I have found though that regardless of where a country girl ends up, she can’t get rid of that part of herself.

A meal of gratitude

Immaculate Conception Church in Dimmitt held a meal of gratitude in memory of Feat of St. Joseph for all the essential workers in the community on March 25. Essential workers enjoyed a meal of pork roast (representing food for the body) and pastas (representing food for the soul). Preparing the meals were Gloria Hernandez, Corina Montalvo, Adriana Bernel, Maria Torres, Maria Vasquez and Maria Ellena Hernandez.
