Castro County Healthcare (CCH) has seen important growth and milestone projects over the past year. From local donations to staff development and facility upgrades, 2023 was a great year for the local healthcare system.

Thousands of people have moved across state lines in recent years, and 2023 was no exception, according to data from U-Haul. U-Haul released its Growth Index report for the previous year which calculates the net gain of one-way U-Haul trucks arriving in a state or city against the net gain of U-Haul trucks departing that state or city for a specific calendar year.

Texas has 30 new laws in effect

Thirty new laws passed by the Texas Legislature took effect as the New Year rolled in. From property tax relief and franchise exemptions, E-cigarettes, and disbanding DEI offices, and identifying at-risk children, Texans will see some changes.
