Schools receive accountability ratings

Nazareth, Hart and Dimmitt school district’s accountability ratings were released last week reflecting educational achievement scores for 2025.Nazareth’s overall rating was A (95%); Hart ISD, an A (90%); and Dimmitt had a B (85%).

Lubbock County to process Tesla titles

Lubbock County is set to become the West Texas new vehicle title state processing center for Tesla.The decision will bring almost $10 million to the county.Currently Tesla has a backlog of approximately 5,000 transactions, according to Ronnie Keister, Lubbock County tax assessor collector.

Nazareth’s Kennedy Wilhelmon July 25 joined 58 students from Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico competed in the Texas Cattle Feeders Association Junior Fed Beef Challenge.Wilhelm, an 8th-grade student, earned third place in the Junior Division with her presentation on Prime Pursuits.

Jaden Pigg, 2021 graduate of Nazareth High School, earned her bachelor’s degree in Sports and Exercise in December and is now working towards her master’s degree at West Texas A&M University. She has joined the teaching staff at Wildorado Independent School District.
