Shooter killed after firing on ICE agents

A shooter was killed after exchanging gunfire with U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents at the U.S. Border Patrol McAllen Station in Texas.According to an FBI statement, the McAllen Police Department received a call reporting shots heard in the area of the U.S.

SCOTUS rules for opt out in school LGBTQ themes

Supreme Court, in a 6-3 decision, ruled in favor of Maryland parents who sought to opt out their children from instruction and classroom discussions involving books with LGBTQ themes and inclusions.

Castro County 4-H Spencer Acker joined the District 2 4-H Council officers at the Senior Power Camp after being chosen as secretary as one of for 2025-- 2026. He will be working alongside the team and AgriLife staff to plan district events.
