Texas SB 1652 filed to ban puppy mill sales

Texas Senate Bill 1652, called the Ethical Pet Sales Bill, has been filed by Senator Judith Zaffirini (D-Laredo).The bill is aimed at protecting puppies and kittens and would the retail sale of such pets.

Castro County 4-H robotics teams did well at the Texas Tech GEAR trial run. In just one month, four teams prepared robots for the competition and learned to work as teams. Elementary division teams at the TT GEAR were Harper Rowland, Kimber Schenk and Laikyn Nelson (1st place) and Benson Birkenfeld, Mason Mireles, and Wyatt Bennett (2nd place). Middle School division teams include Copper Farris, Drew Bennett, and Gus Olson (1st place) and Sawyer Gibson, Griffin Neinst and Yates Olson (3rd place).
