Wife Margaret gave full approval to his decisions while it often took longer for children Betty, Bud and Kathy.

Naz Jr FFA, 8th out of 42 teams, Brant White, Addie Birkenfeld, Copper Farris, Kaylin Acker and Chesney Farris. Ogletree 4-H, 10th place team, Izzy Heck, 3rd out of 121 individuals, Teagan Morgan, Lakyn Boxwell and Gabby Heck.
