Zachary David Martinez

 1992-2026

Zachary David Martinez of Hereford, Texas, beloved son of Cindy and Joe Martinez, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the age of 33.

Zack, born in Hereford on October 8, 1992, graduated from Hereford High School in 2011. He pursued higher education at Southwestern Assemblies of God University, Wayland Baptist University, and later earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Zack was a highly competitive and excellent athlete who participated in multiple high school sports, including football, basketball, track, and baseball and was blessed with the opportunity to continue playing football for SAGU and Wayland. He demonstrated a strong passion for sports, extending his involvement to golf and adult sports leagues. Zack took pleasure in watching his favorite sports teams, the Dallas Cowboys and the Longhorns. He was a member of the Hereford Kiwanis Club and a faithful member of Good News Church, where he led both the Praise and Worship Team and the youth group.

Zack radiated happiness, bringing energy and constant smiles wherever he went. His affection for others shone through in every warm embrace and his exceptional hugs. He inspired those around him to reach their full potential. Intelligent and genuine, Zack approached life and love with heartfelt passion. He cherished his family deeply and always made spending time together a top priority.

Those left to cherish his memories are his parents, Joe and Cindy Martinez of Hereford, Texas; brother Timothy Martinez of Minnesota, niece Taryn Martinez; maternal grandparents David and Elvira Alvarado of Hereford, Texas; and paternal grandparents Joe Sr. and Josie Martinez of Hereford, Texas; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He has joined his brother Levi Joel Martinez in the presence of Jesus.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Good News Church in Hereford with his grandfather Pastor David Alvarado officiating. Burial will follow at West Park Cemetery in Hereford. Family and Friend visitation will be at Good News Church on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM
