Commissioners sworn in, property condemned, Spain named judge

SWEARING IN CEREMONY--Newly elected and re-elected city commissioners were sworn in during a special city commission meeting on May 11 at City Hall. Taking the oath of office from left are incumbent City Commissioner Place 2 Angie Alonzo, newly elected At-Large Commissioner Place 6 Margaret Del Toro, newly elected City Commissioner Place 4 Jeremy Lopez, and incumbent At-Large Commissioner Place 5 James Stow. They were sworn in by City Secretary Franchesca Jimenez.

THANKS, GUYS--Outgoing Place 4 Commissioner Mark Collier, who served six years and did not seek re-election, and Place 6 At Large Commissioner Deven Black, who served two years, were recognized with plaques by Mayor Cathy Bunch and thanked for their service on the Hereford City Commission during a special session May 11.
