Pat Padilla, a local farmer and rancher with a passion for cattle and horses, was named the 2026 Farmer/Rancher of the Year by the Deaf Smith County Historical Society during ceremonies at the Hereford Jubilee Saturday, August 15 in Dameron Park.
Pat, wife Carol, their children Tera and Jordan, and grandchildren Andrew, Johnathan, Tristan, Izzy and Trevan were on hand for the recognition.
