Sheriff Sal Rivera, who serves as the Castro County Emergency Management coordinator, gave an update on COVID-19 for the county on Monday.
He said the county currently has 525 confirmed cases, with 471 recoveries, 43 active and 11 deaths. Pending cases since July 2020 are at 231, with 204 recovered pending cases and 27 active. The total active cases in Castro County is 70.
