Ella “Claudine” Langford, 90, longtime resident of Dimmitt, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021 in Dimmitt. Celebration of life services will be held Thursday, March 25, at 11 a.m. at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. T.C. Broom officiating. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Viewing will begin Thursday, March 25, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Claudine was born July 22, 1930 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Dick and Alice (Harris) Boggs. She married her husband Troy Langford in 1950 in Fletcher, Oklahoma. She has been a resident of Dimmitt since 1952. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a longstanding member of the Plains Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, as well as Ogallala Quilters Society and the Home Demonstration Club. She was a hairdresser until she retired. Claudine enjoyed fishing, game nights, the Senior Citizens Center, and meeting her friends for coffee.
Those left to cherish her memories are her two granddaughters, Shelia Kay and Amy Guerra; one grandson, Robert Langford; five greatgrandchildren, Samantha Murray, Matthew Murray and wife Morgan, William Blasingame, Victoria Guerra and Danci Blasingame; and one great-great-grandchild, Maelyn Murray; one sister, June Elkins; and her best friend, Billie Gunn.
She is preceded in death by her parents Dick and Alice Boggs; her husband, Troy Langford; two sons, Joe Langford and Fred Langford and wife Sonny; one brother, Jimmy Boggs; and one grandson, Henry Langford.
