Matilda Gonzales, 77 of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021, in Lubbock, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 9, at 10:30 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Arockiaraj Malapady, Deacon John Niño and Deacon Richard Martinez as celebrants. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited on Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Maltilda Gonzales was born on Aug. 26, 1943, in Panna Maria, Texas to Delfino Morales and Maria Morales. Matilda enjoyed going to the casinos and playing slots, playing bingo and football pots. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and will always be remembered by her love for everyone and being fun to be around.
Matilda is survived by her three sisters, Benita Vega, Victoria Lopez and Rosalinda Gonzalez, all of Lubbock; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George Gonzales.
