Connie Gilbreath was sworn in by Castro County Judge Carroll Gerber on June 1 as the new Tax Assessor/Collector. She will be replacing Pam Rickert who announced her retirement from the position several weeks ago. Gilbreath was the selection following a search and review of qualified candidates to fill the county position until the next election.
