Hegar distributes $1.3B to local governments

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced today he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.3 billion in local sales tax allocations for February, 9.3 percent more than in February 2022. Castro County received $24,506, up by 12.03% from last year. Dimmitt also saw an increase of 4.40%, receiving $44,728, as did Hart, with a 20.24% at $6,160....
