Nazareth and Dimmitt Robotics teams competed at the FTC Regional meet in Lubbock this past weekend and both will be advancing to the state competition. The FTC/UIL state competitions will be held in Belton on March 24-26.
Dimmitt had two teams competing at the FTC Regional Championship at Lubbock High School: Dimmitt Robotics Team #12398 - Faith Bell, Daniel Duenes, Enrique, Pablo Perez and Jasiah Tavarez; and Robocat Team #13755 - Juan Cruz, Eric Duenas, Joel Grado, and Keenan Hernandez. The teams are coached by Don Bell.
Nazareth Team #16617 was represented by Chloe Birkenfeld, Tanner Birkenfeld, Luke Schulte, Aiden Chea, Harrison Meador, Adrian Rios, and Spencer Acker. The team is coached by Robert O’Conner and Heather Birkenfeld.
Naz Robotics team memberChloeBirkenfeld is one of three finalists for the FTC World Championships Dean’s List Award. FTC gives out 10 - $10,000 awards each year. She will be recognized at the State meet and advance to the World.
