Bobcats battle in tournament

The Dimmitt Bobcats struggled in their game against Slaton, taking a 15-2 loss.

The Bobcats collected five hits. Mario Lopez and Jorge Pena each managed multiple hits , with Lopez leading with three hits in three at bats.

Pitcher Mario Lopez took the loss for the Bobcats, throwing 28 strikes in 48 pitches, striking out one in 1.2 innings, surrendering eight runs on six hits. Edwin Macias pitched 1.2 innings, throwing 22 strikes in 51 pitches with one strike out, giving up seven runs, six hits, five walks and one homerun; and Juan Amina pitched 0.2 innings, with six strikes in nine pitches, with one strikeout.
