Adan V. Lopez also known as “Adam” or “PaPa”, 55 of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away in Lubbock, Texas, on Friday, Sept. 8, 2023.
Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 12, at 10 a.m. at the First Methodist Church with the Rev. Eliezer Garrido and the Rev. Abel Vargas, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmit. The family will receive friends on Monday, Sept. 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Adan was born on Aug. 25, 1968, in Dimmitt, to Manuel Sr., and Genoveva (Vasquez) Lopez. He married the love of his life, Cecilia Rodriguez on Nov. 22, 2016, but he and Cecilia have been together since 2005. Adan was a truck driver for many years. He loved riding his Harley and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be missed dearly.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Cecilia Lopez of Dimmitt; his mother, Genoveva Lopez of Dimmitt; his children, Crystal Lopez and her husband Juan Ibarra of Dimmitt, Lori Lopez and her husband Isaiah Lessard of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Lisa Lopez and her husband Jonathan Reyes of Oklahoma City, Martha Lopez of Amarillo, Texas, and Adam Dozal and his wife Ximena of Oklahoma City; his siblings, Anna Lopez of Arlington, Texas, Frank Lopez of Hereford, Texas; nine grandchildren; his fur baby, Sergeant; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Adan is preceded in death by his father, Manuel Lopez Sr., and two brothers, Manuel Lopez Jr. and Daniel Lopez.
