Nazareth FFA Livestock Team got off to a good start this season competing at Clarendon College. The Naz senior division team: Emily Durbin, 5th place; Jack Welps, 9th; Tanner Wethington, 10th; and Jet Ramaekers. The junior division placed fourth with Gabby Heck, 4th and Izzy Heck, 6th.

Texas 4-H STEM Ambassador Spencer Acker from Castro County 4-H demonstrates some ins and outs of robotics to youth at the Swisher County Fair. Acker is not only involved in 4-H robotics but also in Texas FIRST competitions.
Castro County 4-H is signing up youth for the new 4-H Kids and Cloverbuds program.
The kick-off meeting will be held on Sept. 12 at 5 p.m. Parents are invited to come by the extension office and see what will be offered in the new program.
Youth from kindergarten through fifth grade can fill out applications to participate in the program.
