Israel Corrales, Sr., 77 of Easter, Texas, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024, in Hereford. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, July 11, at 10 a.m. at Colonial Funeral Home with Deacon Richard Martinez officiating. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 10, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Israel Corrales, Sr. was born on May 9, 1947, in Mexico to Julio Corrales and Manuela (Molina) Corrales. Israel grew up in Mexico where he attended school. He also served in the military in Mexico as a teenager prior to moving to the states. He was a longtime resident of Easter where he worked as a farmer and cattleman. He enjoyed working in his garden and mowing his lawn and doing some mechanical work.He will be most remembered for his strong work ethic and wanting to provide for his family.
Israel is survived by four sons, Israel Corrales, Jr and wife Mechelle of Dimmitt, Elias Corrales, Oscar Corrales and wife Brenda, and Daniel Corrales all of Hereford; three daughters, Leticia Santillan and husband Guillermo of Las Cruces, Ivonne Espinoza and husband Manuel of Hereford, and Gracie Chavez and husband Alfonso of Amarillo; two sisters, Maria Elena Tarin and Rosi Corrales; along with 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Emma Corrales; and two brothers and four sisters.
