DVFD benefit nets more than $16k for local organization

    The 13th annual highway to Hell *O Terlingua Chili Cookoff Benefiting the Dimmitt Volunteer Fire Department was another big success Sept. 20 with the benefit bringing in $16,950 for the volunteer fire department.

    The event was held at Dimmitt Rec and Country Club.

    First place Beans went to Amber Jones. First place salsa went to Martha Richardson.

    Curt Bills was the winner for the $1,000 raffle.
