Salley Carrasco, 65 of Hart, Texas, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 26, 2020 in Lubbock, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. with Father Arockiaraj Malapady, Deacon John Niño and Deacon Richard Martinez as celebrants; burial will follow in the Hart Cemetery. Viewing will be Tuesday, Dec. 1, from 1 to 8 p.m. at the church with rosary being recited at 6 p.m. Due to the COVID virus everyone attending the viewing, rosary and the funeral service must wear a mask provided by you. Your safety and health matter to us. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.

Salley was born on March 18, 1955 in Olton, Texas to Fortunato and Maria (Garcia) Reyna. She has been a lifelong resident of Hart, and was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. She married her husband Guillermo Carrasco on Jan. 24, 1973 in Dimmitt. Salley was “the perfect wife, mother and grandmother.” She took the time out of each day to pray and listen to worship music, and she would recite scripture to her family and friends. Everything she did she did it from the heart, she loved raising her grandchildren and working at Richardson Elementary where she was employed for five years. She also dearly loved her friends and she will be missed by many.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Guillermo Carrasco of Hart; mother, Maria Reyna; two sons, Adrian Carrasco and wife Laura of Dimmitt, and Adan Carrasco and wife Connie of Longview, Texas; one daughter, Selina Carpio and husband Ricardo of Dimmitt; grandchildren, Meagan Carrasco, Adrian Carrasco, Kobe Carpio, Kaden Carpio, Adalynn Carrasco Magdalyn Chavez, Renae Chavez, Rosalia Chavez and Colton Carrasco; four sisters, Seniada de la Fuente, Senobia Diego, Sabina Godino and Susie Reyna; and one brother, Steven Reyna.

Salley is preceded in death by her father.
