Kathy Ethridge, 69, passed away on Friday, Dec. 8, 2023, in Tulia peacefully with her family by her side. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 12, at 3:00 p.m. in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Pastor Justin Roberts officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

A visitation will be held on Monday, Dec. 11, at 5:30 to 7:30 PM at the funeral home.

Kathy was born on Jan. 11, 1954, in Childress, Texas to Arnold and Betty (Rothwell) Crawford. She graduated from Hart High School in 1972. She married her high school sweetheart Johnny Ethridge on Aug. 12, 1972, in Hub, Texas. Kathy had many jobs throughout her life, notably at the First State Bank and Federal Land Bank in Dimmitt. Kathy also worked as a tax deputy in Floresville, Texas for several years. After retirement she volunteered at the Good Shepherd in Tulia and spent time volunteering for the Special Olympics in Plainview. Kathy loved farm animals, fishing, and especially quilting. She also enjoyed spending time with family and watching her beloved grandchildren play sports like football, basketball, track and bowling. In between volunteering and sports Kathy spent time traveling the world.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arnold “A.D.” and Betty Crawford.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny Ethridge of Tulia, her children, Michael Ethridge and wife Jennifer of Tulia, Wendi Ethridge of Lubbock and Amy Tennant and husband Matt of Miami, TX, her grandchildren, Ryan Ethridge, Haevyn Knobloch and husband Evan, Colton Risley and Kaleb Tennant, and stepmother Chris Crawford.
