Curtis James Grand, 87 of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021, in Amarillo. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 2, at 5 p.m. at the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Coby Gilbreath officiating. Local arrangements have been entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.

Curtis James Grand was born on March 4, 1934, in Haskell, Texas to Alford Grand and Grace Elizabeth (Tidwell) Grand. Curtis was a mechanic by trade but was also known for farming and ginning. Curtis enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, working on old boats and working with his hands for whatever that may be.

Curtis is survived by his wife, Joy Grand of Dimmitt; children, son, Gary Grand and wife Linda of Dimmitt; daughter, Kathy Wyatt and husband Joe of Mansfield, Texas; daughter, Jan Provence of Kyle, Texas; son, Terry Grand of Elmendorf, Texas; step-sons, Tony Beames and wife Dena of Dimmitt, and Billy Beames and wife Vicky of Oklahoma; sisters, Martha Andress, Joan Brock, Helen Wheatley and Linda Wallace; eight grandchildren, Tara Grand, Jessica Rawlings, Melissa Kirkpatrick, Lisa Provence, Chase Wyatt, Cassidy Grand, Robin Curry and Dillon Beames; along with six great-grandchildren, Tanner Wyatt, Breigh Kirkpatrick, Jaden Bice, Jordyn Parks, Jazmyn Parks and Liam Wyatt.

Curtis is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Grand and Grace Elizabeth Grand; brothers, Gene Grand and Howard Grand; granddaughter, Lori Yeary; grandson, Tracy Grand; and stepdaughter, Debbie Davis.
