Dean Hill, 65 of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022, in Lubbock. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 20, at 10 a.m. in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel in Dimmitt, Texas with Kevin McCasland officiating. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt, Texas.

Dean was born on Dec. 22, 1956, in Plainview, Texas to Billy Joe and Evelyn Helen (Stork) Hill. He attended school in Hart, Texas, was a 1976 Hart High School graduate, and an All-State football player. Dean worked as a roofer, car salesmen, and as a truck driver. He enjoyed time spent on the lake and water skiing. Dean loved to spend time with his nephews. He had a big personality, “larger than life”. Dean was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish his memories are his mom, Evelyn Hill of Seminole, Texas; siblings, Terry Hill and wife Belinda of Keller, Texa, Tammye Summers and husband Curt of Seminole, Texas, and Brad Hill of Paris, Texas; eight nieces and nephews; and nine great-nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his dad, Billy Joe Hill; and a brother, Kent Hill.
