Hinojosa

Rolando Hinojosa, 58 of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away on April 24, 2023, at his home in Dimmitt. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 1, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Arockiaraj Malapady, Deacon John Nino, and Deacon Richard Martinez as celebrants. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited on Sunday, April 30, at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Rolando Hinojosa was born on Aug. 8, 1964, in La Palma Tamaulipas, Mexico to Armando Hinojosa and Maria Del Carmen (Garcia) Hinojosa. He was raised in La Feria, Texas. He married Gloria (Lopez) Hinojosa on Feb. 27, 1985, and had three sons, Michael Lopez, Armando Hinojosa, and Rolando Hinojosa Jr. Rolando worked for Cargill Meat Solutions for 33 years and then worked as a truck driver for Bar G. Rolando enjoyed the outdoors, and his favorite hobbies were fishing and cooking with his family and friends.

Those left behind to cherish his memories are his wife, Gloria Hinojosa of Dimmitt; mother, Maria Hinojosa of Mercedes; sons, Michael Lopez of Amarillo, Armando Hinojosa and girlfriend Doriana Nicolas of Hereford, and Rolando Hinojosa Jr. of Dimmitt, siblings, Frank Luna of Weslaco, Nidia Garza and husband Sergio of Mercedes, Elvira Pedraza and husband Rolando of Mercedes, Armando Hinojosa and wife Becky of Wellington, Gaspar Hinojosa of Wellington, Griselda Jimenez and husband Gabriel of Mercedes, Nancy Hinojosa of Weslaco, Ricardo Hinojosa and wife Iris of Oahu, Hawaii, BS Alejandra Cano and husband Vicente of La Feria; and grandchildren, Alexis, Anthony, Arianna, Ava, Aliyah, and Ethan.

He is preceded in death by his father, Armando Hinojosa; and brother, Jose de Jesus Hinojosa.
