Hopping

Teresa Hopping was called home to our Lord and Savior on Feb. 11, 2023, in Lubbock, Texas surrounded by her loving family.

Teresa Ann Hopping was born Aug. 11, 1961, to John Lantz and Carol Gunter Lantz in Amarillo, Texas. Teresa grew up in Dimmitt, Texas, and graduated in 1979. Teresa enrolled at Texas Tech University and was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Teresa obtained her degree in Management Information Systems. Teresa married the love of her life, Rick Hopping of Littlefi eld, on March 31, 1988, in Dimmitt. Teresa was employed by Frenship ISD Information Technology department, where her coworkers referred to her as their “work mom”. Teresa’s family was always at the forefront of her heart and thoughts. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren. She brought a bright light to anyone who met her, always sharing a caring smile and hug.

Teresa is survived by her husband, Rick; children, Kallie (Cole) Tidwell – daughter, Rebecca Hopping; grandchildren, Amelia Tidwell, Grayson Schneider, Margaret Tidwell, Autumn Hopping-Schneider; mother, Carol Lantz; brother, Jeffery (Janet) Lantz; brotherin- law, Roni (Karyl Arrington) Hopping, Michael (Elena) Hopping; and ,nieces, Hanna Lantz, Victoria Hopping.

She is preceded in death by her father John Lantz; and her niece Jessica Lantz.

A service to celebrate the life of Teresa Hopping’s 61 years of life is scheduled at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, followed by a time of fellowship with family and friends.
