Jeffery Howell, 53, lifelong resident of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021, to be with his Lord and Savior.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, Oct. 8, at 2 p.m. in the Fourth and Bedford Church of Christ with David Horn officiating. Local arrangements are under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. The family receive friends on Thursday, Oct. 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jeffery Marvin Howell was born on Oct. 27, 1967, in Dimmitt, Texas to George Howell and Gladys Marie (Ward) Howell. Jeffery grew up in Dimmitt and graduated from Dimmitt High School in 1986. On June 18, 1988, he married the love of his life, Jennifer (Martin) Howell. Jeffery began working for Bud Hill Feed Yard and then became a truck driver working for McCracken Trucking and then Cross Trucking up until his illness. Jeffery enjoyed working with latch-hook, watching sports but especially watching baseball and playing baseball with his grandchildren. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Jennifer Howell of Dimmitt; children, Samantha Schaffer and husband Scott of Earth, Thomas Howell and wife April of Dimmitt and Ashley Holmes and husband Justin of Lubbock; mother, Marie Howell of Dimmitt; honorary children, Caleb Snitker and Natasha Lynch, both of Dimmitt; brother, Greg Howell of Lubbock; sister, Mary-Anne Hardegree of Amarillo; along with 12 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jeffery is preceded in death by his father, George Howell.
