Martha Isaguirre, 78, died on Friday, April 16, 2021. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 2 p.m. in the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit, in Tulia, with Father David Contreras officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

A rosary will be held on Monday, April 19 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home chapel in Tulia.

Martha was born on Sept. 24, 1942 in Mission, Texas to Paz Sr. and Dolores Gonzales. Her family moved to Tulia when she was young, and she attended Tulia Schools. She worked as a waitress for LaVon’s Restaurant in Tulia. She married Jose Isaguirre on Aug. 20, 1960 and moved to Hart.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jose Isaguirre; one daughter, Lucinda Isaguirre; and five sisters, Ester Martinez, Eva Perez, Lupita Casanova, Mary Lou Chapa and Edna Garza.

She is survived by four sons, Luther Isaguirre and wife Patricia of Hale Center, Leon Isaguirre and wife Mimi of Hart, Joe Isaguirre and wife Veronica of Plainview, and Jr. Isaguirre and wife Cynthia of Plainview; four brothers, Tino Gonzales of Big Spring, Paz Jr. Gonzales of Tulia, Ramiro Gonzalez of Elsa and Ruben Gonzales of Tulia; two sisters, Oralia Huron of Tulia, and Emma Castillo and husband Sonny of Tulia; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
