Jorge Lule, 62 of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020 in Lubbock, Texas. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, Jan 4, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. in the Assembly of God Church with Pastor Israel Olivo officiating. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Viewing will begin on Sunday, Jan. 3 at 5 p.m. at the church.

Jorge Lule was born on Dec. 18, 1958 to Arturo Lule and Porfiria (Ruiz) Lule. Jorge grew up in Mexico and moved to the United States at the age of 15. He moved to Dimmitt in 1992 and began working for Cargill where he was employed for many years. He then became a pastor in 2000 in Hereford and retired in 2009. He had always been a welder by trade and began a business with his son.

Jorge was one who loved reading and studying the bible throughout the years and was a godly man. He enjoyed playing the guitar, collecting antiques, spending time with his grandchildren. He was always known to be a positive and influential person who loved his family. He will be remembered as always being happy and having a smile on his face but most of all he loved his wife, children and grandchildren.

Jorge is survived by his wife, Selina Lule of Dimmitt; children, Corina Lule of Plainview, Arturo Lule of Midland, Jose Lule and wife Hortencia of Dimmitt, Sasha Ramirez and husband Henry of Dimmitt, Jonathan Lule and wife Jackie of Dimmitt, Miguel Lule and wife Cynthia of Dimmitt and Jacob Lule and wife Clarisa of Canyon; siblings, Jose Lule of Mexico, Arturo Lule of Mexico, Martha Lule of Mexico, Blanca Lule Lule of Mexico, Corina Lule of Dallas, Gina Lule of Mexico, Concepcion Lule of Mexico, and Felipe Lule of Amarillo; along with 20 grandchildren.

Jorge is preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild.
