Paul Menchaca, 61 of Hart, Texas, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021 in Plainview. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church at a later date with the Rev. Arockiaraj Malapady, Deacon John Nino and Deacon Richard Martinez as celebrants. Burial will be in Hart Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home.

Paul Menchaca was born on May 21, 1960, in Uvalde, Texas to Miguel Menchaca and Dora (Martinez) Menchaca. Paul was a longtime resident of the Hart community where he farmed for many years which he passionately loved. Paul was always known to be a jokester and loved to make family and friends laugh. He enjoyed collecting antique toys and whatever else he thought was collectible while also raising his chickens. Paul loved spending time with his family and was always generous in helping family members and friends in time of need. Paul will be dearly missed by all.

Paul is survived by his wife, Rebecca Ledesma of Hart, Texas; six children, Teresa Rocha of Plainview, Texas, Cynthia Martinez of Colorado City, Texas, Amanda Rubalcaba of Oklahoma, Sonny Rubalcaba of Portland, Oregon, Johnny Menchaca of Hart, and Windy Menchaca of Hart; three brothers, Mike Menchaca, Raul Menchaca Sr. and Thomas Menchaca, all of Plainview; two sisters, Tammy Brunson of Helotes, Texas, and Trina Menchaca of Plainview; along with 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Paul Menchaca Jr.; one brother, Richard Menchaca; and one sister, Mary Esther Gonzales.
