Paulino Nunez, 72 of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020 in Dimmitt. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, January 5, at 3 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Arockiaraj Malapady, Deacon John Niño and Deacon Richard Martinez as celebrants. Cremation services have been entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Rosary will be recited on Monday, January 4, at 5 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Viewing will begin at 1 p.m.

Due to COVID -19 masks are required at both the funeral home and the church, provided by you. Your health and safety matter to us.

Paulino was born on Jan. 13, 1948 in Valle De Zaragoza, Mexico to Eugenio and Martha (Avila) Nunez. While living in Mexico he married the love of his life Otilia Sanchez on Oct. 15, 1972. Paulino has lived in Dimmitt for 20 years. He enjoyed working on the farm and caring for animals. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. When Paulino had free time, he enjoyed spending time with his wife and his family, watching TV, working in the yard and doing things around the house. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Otilia Sanchez Nune; his three sons, Paulino Nunez Sanchez, Fernando Nunez Sanchez both of Dimmitt, and Raul Nunez Sanchez and his wife Nubia Calderon of Santa Fe, New Mexico; four grandchildren, Magdalena, Jasmine, Angel Gabriel and Raul; and three brothers and three sisters.

Paulino is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
