Antonio Olmos, 89 of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 16, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, July 20, at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church with Father Guadalupe Mayorga, and Deacon John Nino as celebrants. Burial will follow at Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Antonio Olmos was born on July 19, 1933, in El Gavilan de Arriba, Jalisco, Mexico, to Nabor Olmos and Panfila (Silva) Olmos. He has been a resident of Dimmitt since 1994. Antonio married Juanita (Fuentes) Olmos on Feb. 17, 1958, in Belen de Refugio, Jalisco, México. Antonio worked in the agricultural industry working with cattle, he was employed with Dimmitt Feed Yard for 14 years and was also employed for five years with Lykes Bros., Inc. He loved to spend his time with his loving family and was a devoted husband, a loving father, a very caring grandfather. Antonio had a great sense of humor that brought laughter and joy to all those around him. He prayed to God that he lived long enough to see his kids grow up and be successful, and he achieved that aspiration. His greatest life lessons were to work hard, be kind, and love your family.

Those left to cherish his memories are his beloved wife of 65 years, Juanita Olmos of Dimmitt; his children, Martin Olmos and his wife Yecenia of Midland, Texas, Tony Olmos and his wife Mari of Dimmitt, Ernesto Olmos of Amarillo, Texas.; brother, Isaias Olmos of Dimmitt, sister, Socorro Olmos and Manuel Martinez of Mexico; five granddaughters and one grandson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Nabor and Panfila Olmos; daughter, Ana Maria Olmos; brother, Ramon Olmos; and sister, Selestina Olmos.
