Esteban Oltivero, son of Juan Oltivero Sr., and Maria (Barbosa) Oltivero, was born in Lubbock, Texas on Aug. 3, 1953, and departed this life Nov. 16, 2022, in Dimmitt, Texas, at the age of 69 years.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Nov. 21, at 2 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Arockiaraj Malapady, Deacon John Nino, Deacon Richard Martinez, and Deacon Paul Herrera as celebrants. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home. Rosary/Vigil service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 20, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home.

Esteban Oltivero was a longtime resident of Dimmitt. He married Teresa (Vidaurri) Oltivero on May 28, 1978, in Farwell, Texas. Esteban worked for Cargill as a mill operator for 27 years up until his retirement. Esteban enjoyed watching wresting, western movies, and the Dallas Cowboys, but most of all he loved spending time with his family, his grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews who he loved very much.

Esteban is survived by his wife of 44 years, Teresa Oltivero of Dimmitt; children, Cynthia Pedroza and husband Michael of Dimmitt, Stephanie Cortez and husband Francisco of Dimmitt, and Esteban Oltivero Jr. and wife Amanda of Hereford, Texas; sister, Lupe Zuniga of Weslaco, Texas; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and five brothers.
