Jose Tovar Rodriguez, 26 of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, in Amarillo. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 12, at 10 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Arockiaraj Malapady, Deacon John Nino and Deacon Richard Martinez as celebrants. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Rosary will be recited on Sunday, July 11, at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jose Rodriguez was born on May 3, 1995, in Mexico to Conrado Rodriguez and Maria (Tovar) Rodriguez. He moved to Dimmitt at the age of 8 and then attended school in Dimmitt and graduated from Dimmitt High School. Jose then went on to attend South Plains Junior College and was studying to be a nurse. He was always willing to help others in need which would of made nursing at great career for him. While attending school he worked for Blue Sky Farms. Jose fought leukemia for three years before entering into heavens gates. Jose will be best remembered by the love he had for his family and the time he spent with his mother going out to different places.

Jose is survived by his parents, Conrado Rodriguez and Maria Rodriguez of Dimmitt; two brothers, Daniel Rodriguez and wife Esmeralda of Dimmitt. and Lorenzo Rodriguez and wife Alondra Masias of Dimmitt; and grandfather, Don Asiano Rodriguez of Mexico.
