Gloria “Becco” Rodriquez, 83 of Hart, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Jan. 5, 2024. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 9, at El Sendero de la Cruz, at 2 p.m., with Pastor Roger Velasquez, Pastor Steven Reyna, and Rudy Garcia officiating. Burial will follow at Hart Cemetery. Arrangements and Services have been entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt, Texas. Viewing and Visitation will be on Monday, Jan. 8, at 1 p.m. at El Sendero de la Cruz in Hart, with a prayer service beginning at 7 p.m.

Gloria was born on March 27, 1940, in Mission, Texas to Froilan and Romanita (Coronado) Reyna. She married Daniel Rodriquez in January 1961; they made their way to Hart, which became their home.

Gloria was a proud homemaker, who lovingly cared for her husband and children. Later in life, she started a snow cone business called “Snow Blessings.” Gloria loved being outdoors, gardening, and watering her plants, cooking, making tamales, and sewing. She enjoyed watching sports and was a fan of the Cowboys, and the Warriors, and the #1 Fan for her grandchildren going to all their sporting events. Gloria had a strong faith and love for God, serving in her church faithfully and preaching when given the opportunity. She was blessed as an honorary elder in her church.

Gloria’s greatest love was for her family, her children, and her grandchildren. She loved spending time with them, enjoying trips, movies, and game nights. She was a great listener who gave excellent advice; she was funny, loving, graceful, a friend to everyone, and a best friend to her family. Gloria was a one-of-a-kind mom, who loved big and was loved.

Those left to carry on her legacy are her children, Raul Rodriquez and his wife Grace of Big Lake, Texas, Esther Cedillo and her husband Carlos of Hart, Esteban Rodriquez and his wife Dora of Plainview, Texas, Ruth Rodriquez of Hart, and Teresa Rodriquez of Hart; grandchildren, Jaqueline D. Ramirez, Latoya A. Allan, Curtis Rodriquez, Mary Davis, Anthony Davis, Steven Davis, Andrew Elkins, Chris R. Nino, Leslie L. Segura, Beatrice C. Calderon, David I. Cedillo, Alexah B. Nino, Amanda L. Garcia, Stephanie Rodriquez, Sinai Rodriquez, LucreciaRamirez,Ianis Belen Rodriquez, Cassandra A. Calderon, Ivvan Medrano, Isaias R. Medrano, Paul Matthew Rodriquez, and Eli Quintero Jr.; 51 great-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren on the way; brothers, David Reyna and his wife Beatrice of Hart, and Daniel Reyna and his wife Alejandra of Stephensville, Texas; sisters, Nela Gonzales of Amarillo, Texas, Carmen Gonzales of Hart, Mimi Velasquez and her husband Roger of Hart, Dolores Castillo of Hart, and Martha Reyna of Plainview.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Froilan and Romanita Reyna; husband, Daniel Rodriquez; son, Daniel Rodriquez Jr. “Nene”; grandson, Carlos David Cedillo; granddaughters, Alyssa Daniel Rodriquez, Ruby Nevaeh Quintero and Roxanne R. Rodriquez; three great-grandchildren; daughterin- law Esmeralda Rodriquez; brothers, Moses Reyna, Fortunato Reyna, and Juan Reyna; and sisters, Fina Reyna and Domingo Gonzales.
