Bertha Alicia Salas, 57 of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022, in Dimmitt surrounded by her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 6, at 11 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Arockiaraj Malapady, Deacon John Nino, and Deacon Richard Martinez as celebrants. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the church.

Bertha Salas was born on Jan. 15, 1965, in Laredo, Texas to Blas Cadena and Bertha Aguero Salas. She was raised in Laredo and graduated from Martin High School. She married Jose Salas and was a housewife while raising her children. She enjoyed shopping, listening to music, traveling, but most of all she loved spending time with her husband while trucking and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Bertha was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Bertha is survived by her husband, Jose Salas of Dimmitt; children, Jose Guererro Salas and wife Abigail of Dimmitt, and Priscilla Marie Medina and husband Gilberto of Dimmitt; grandchildren, Sarah Alicia Medina, and Gilberto Jose Medina; two brothers, Blas Ramon Cadena Jr. and wife Dora Alicia of Dimmitt, and Raul Cadena and wife Ericka of Dimmitt; and sister, San Juanita Cadena of Laredo.
