Jesse Sepeda, 68 of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, in Amarillo.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 21, in the Fourth & Bedford Church of Christ at 10:30 a.m. with Alonso Ortega and Pastor Jacob Larra officiating. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Oct. 20, at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m.

Jesse was born on July 3, 1953 in Hereford, Texas to Francisco “Pancho” Sepeda and Maria (Moreno) Sepeda. Jesse was raised in Dimmitt and graduated from Dimmitt High School in 1972. On Nov. 1, 1975, he married Irene (Garcia) Sepeda in Dimmitt. He worked for the Cargill plant in Dimmitt for over 25 years and then the dairy lab up until his retirement in 2010. Jesse loved to collect coins, going fishing, listening to music, but he will be most remembered by his love for restoring classic trucks and cars and participating in car shows and parades. He was a longtime member of Iglesia de Cristo.

Those left behind to cherish his memories are his beloved wife, Irene Sepeda of Hereford; mother, Maria Sepeda of Dimmitt; son, Robert Sepeda and wife Carmen of Lavon; daughter, Jazzalyn Sepeda and husband Santiago of Hereford; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; brother, Andrew Sepeda of Plainview; and sisters, Rosa Nino and husband David of Emory, and Ydolina Nino and husband Gilbert of Haslet.

Jesse is preceded in death by his father, Francisco “Pancho” Sepeda.
