Donna Faye Hardesty Smith, 91 of Fort Worth, Texas, died on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021.

Donna was born in Lubbock, Texas on Aug. 13,1930. Donna lived in Hereford, Texas until moving to Fort Worth in 2004. Donna went to ENMU, graduating with a degree in education. She had a long career as a schoolteacher until retiring from Dimmitt ISD. She was a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution.

Donna married James Smith in 1949 in Friona. They had 47 years together until his death.

Survivors include two daughters, Anita Neil Bagwell (Stephen) of Fort Worth, and Darla Faye Thompson of Trophy Club, Texas; three grandchildren, Eric Bagwell, Hayley Bagwell and Brittany Thompson; and one sister, Laura Coffey of Logan, New Mexico.
