Alejandro Urbina, 78, of Hart, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024, at his home in Hart, Texas. Rosary will be said at 6 p.m., Monday, Oct. 14, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, in Hart. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, with Fr. David Contreras, officiating. Interment will follow at Hart Cemetery under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton. Visitation will be held from 1 to 5 p.m., Monday, Oct. 14, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton.

Alejandro was born July 17, 1946, in Valle Hermoso, Tamps, Mexico, to Francisco and Anastacia (Contreras) Urbina. He married Maria Trinidad Gonzalez on July 9, 1969, and they were married over 55 years. Moving to Hart in 1980 from Laredo, Texas, Alejandro worked for Hill Land and Cattle in the mills for over 33 years. A member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Alejandro was hard to anger and always in a good mood. He loved sports and enjoyed attending his son’s and grandchildren’s sports activities. His favorites included boxing, baseball, the Green Bay Packers, and especially watching wrestling. He had a humorous and joking personality and will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Anastacia Urbina; two brothers, Brigido Urbina and Maximino Urbina; and a sister, Celia Saldana.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Urbina of Hart; five sons, Alex Urbina and wife Rebecca of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Rene Urbina and wife Eva of Olton, Fernando Urbina and wife Jessyca of Lubbock, Carlos Urbina and wife Norma of Phoenix, Arizona, and Rick Urbina and wife Lucy of Olton; four brothers, Juan Urbina, Marcelo Urbina, Jesus Urbina, and Martin Urbina, all of Laredo, Texas; and a sister Rosa Urbina of Laredo. He was blessed with 23 grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren.
