Victoria Luna was born December 23, 1926, in D’Hanis, Texas to Julian and Antonia (Tambunga) DeLaPaz. She married Andrew Luna on February 26, 1950, and together they nurtured a beautiful family, imparting lifelong lessons to their children while prioritizing their faith.

She was an active member of San Jose Church. Each day began and ended in prayer and her faith was her greatest strength. She was employed at Best Western for over 50 years, which exhibited her exceptional work ethic. She lived a life marked by strength, hard work, and quiet, unwavering love for her family. She had a great sense of humor and never missed a chance to laugh along with everyone.

She loved all God’s creatures and fed all the neighborhood cats. She had many pets throughout her life but most recently her beloved Lacy.

Victoria was a beautiful soul who always prayed for her family. She told everyone to be careful going home, not to speed and to call her when they arrived safely. Her presence will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children; Linda Celaya, Andrea Cervantez, George Luna and his wife Dee and Santos Luna and his wife Perla all of Hereford, Texas, Helen Padilla of Amarillo, Texas, and Toni Swanson of Bismark, North Dakota; 17 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 21 great-great grandchildren.

Victoria is preceded in death by her parents, Julian and Antonia DeLaPaz; her husband, Andrew Luna; her sister, Herminia Aguero; her brothers, Ysidro and Frank DeLaPaz; and two great grandchildren, Diamond Vargas and Joseph Celaya.
