A new year is about to begin for Castro County 4-H and there are a lot of important dates to keep track of.

Upcoming events: Oct. 1-7 -National 4-H Week Oct. 6 – Dimmitt Clover Kids, 9:30 to 10:15 and 4-H Kids, 10:30 to noon meetings.
Oct. 7 – One Day 4-H – Restore Historical Markers at Castro County Courthouse Square.
Oct. 10-12 – Online Vet Science Contest.
Oct. 13 – Grilling Games Registration deadline; Fall Youth Tack Force application due for senior 4-Hers.
Oct. 16 – Monthly Meeting.
Oct. 21 – District 2 Grilling Games Contest, Lubbock.
Oct. 28 – Dimmitt and Nazareth Fall Festival game booths. Intermediate and senior 4-H members who would like to lead a game booths should contact Felice Acker the County Extension Office.
Oct. 30 – District 2 Food Challenge contest.
District 2 is needing a leader to coordinate the D2 Community Service Challenge (fleece tie blankets).
