DHS Bobbies lifters earn state medals

Dimmitt High School was well represented at the THSWPA State Championships this past weekend, bringing home two medals and placing seventh as a team. State qualifiers were Yazmin Barron, Allysun Jones, Na’khiyah Porras and Kimberly Solis.
DHS senior Yazmin Barron competing in bench press at the THSWPA state meet where she came in with her personal best. She also earned a place on the All-State Academic Second Team. This was her third trip to the state meet and ended her high school lifting career tying for fifth place.

The Dimmitt Bobbies powerlifters attended the THSWPA State Championships, 3A Small School, in Corpus Christi this past weekend and returned with two medals.
