Swiftettes take Bi-District title, 72-
The Nazareth Swiftettes advanced in the playoffs after scoring a huge bi-district win over the Anton Lady Bulldogs, 72-8, on Tuesday night.
Nazareth came in with 31/58 (53%) field goals , 5/14 (36%) 3-pointers, and 5/9 (56%) free throws. The team collected 26 rebounds, 20 steals, and four blocks, with only six turnovers and 10 fouls.
Top shots for the Swiftettes were Tatum Peterson with 13 points, one offensive rebound two defensive rebounds two assists, three steals and one block; Makenzy Corrales, 12 points one offensive and defensive rebound, two assists, five steals and one foul; and Iris Schilderink, 10 points, two offensive rebounds, one defensive rebound one steal, one block and one foul.
Contributing shooters were Harley Gerber with nine points one offensive rebound, two assists and two steals; Bliss Betzen, seven points, three offensive rebounds two defensive rebounds and two assists; Presley Wheeler, seven points, one offensive rebound, one assist, two steals and three fouls; Addie Dyer, six points one offensive and defensive rebound, four assists two steals and one foul; Caroline Myrick, one offensive and defensive rebound, two assists, three steals and two fouls; Riley Ramaekers, two points, one offensive and defensive rebound, one steal and one block; Emerson Moore, two points and one foul; and Clementine Myrick, two points and one foul. Brooklyn Dyer came in with one assist and one steal.
The Swiftettes will travel to Amarillo Tascosa on Friday to face the Claude Lady Mustangs in the Area Championship. The game will begin at 6:30.
