Swifts win Regional Championship

The Nazareth Swifts advanced to their third state playoff run after defeating the May Tigers for the Regional championship in a double header on Monday, 15-0 and 6-5. The games were played at Stanton High School. The winner of the Region 1 1-A championship will play the Region 3 1-A Kennard Tigers (16-9) in the state semifinals currently scheduled for June 7 at Dell Diamond in Round Rock. Team members include Luke Schulte, Carson Heiman, Tanner Birkenfeld, Sterl Welps, Bradyn Bullard, Jack Welps, Will Young, Brett Heitschmidt and Tell Bagley.
