AgriLife crop seminar set for Dec. 20

The AgriLife Crop Production and Protection Seminar hosted by the TAMU AgriLife Extension Service is set for Dec. 20 at the Castro Extension Office.

The program is approved by TDA for five CEUs.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. followed by presentations on laws and regulations for licensing, selecting seed varieties, feed grains, silage and forage, inset technologies, plant health and protection decisions, and management of resistant weeds.

Speakers will include Dr. Mark Matocha, Dr. Craig Bednarz, Dr. Calvin Trostle, Dr. David Kerns, Blayne Reed, Dr. Pat Porter, Dr. Terry Wheeler, Dr. Thomas Isakeit, Dr. Ken Obasa and Dr. Peter Dotray.

Call the Castro County Extension Office to RSVP by Dec. 19. The fee is $30 and includes lunch.
