Bobbies defeated by Lady Cubs, 43
The Dimmitt Bobbies suffered a narrow defeat by the Brownfield Lady Cubs, 43-40.
Brownfield took the lead in the first quarter, 21-13, but both teams scored evenly in the second quarter, closing the first half out with a Lady Cubs lead 32-24.
The Bobbies battled to narrow the lead in the third and fourth quarter, but fell short by a mere three points, giving the win to Brownfield.
The Bobbies came through with 12 of 28 2-point shots, three of 12 3-pointers, seven of 19 free throws, 18 offensive rebounds, 19 defensive rebounds, 11 assists, 14 deflections, seven steals, one block 20 turnovers, nine fouls and one charge taken.
Top shots for Dimmitt were Jocelyn Jimenez with 12 points, seven offensive rebounds, six defensive rebounds, two assists, three deflections, one steal and two fouls; and Milee Thomas with 10 points, two offensive rebounds, three defensive rebounds, one assist, two deflections and one block.
