Bobbies fall to Lady Whitefaces, 46-36

The Dimmitt Bobbies lost to the Hereford Lady Whitefaces in their game on Friday, 46-36.

Hereford took the lead in the first quarter of the game 9- 6, but the Bobbies battled in the second quarter, outscoring the Lady Whitefaces, but still trailed 24-19 as the first half came to a close.

The third quarter, the Hereford offense gained more ground on the lead, 3624, and though the Bobbies offense again out shot their opponents in the fourth quarter, lost 46-36.

The Dimmitt squad hit 10 of 34 two-point shots, one of five three-point shots, hit 13 of 29 free throws, collected 10 offensive rebounds, 29 defensive rebounds, had eight assists, one steal, 21 turnovers and 17 fouls.

Top shooters for the Bobbies were Na’khiyah Porras with nine points, two offensive rebounds, two defensive rebounds, one assist and two fouls; and Caitlyn Olmos with eight points, two offensive rebounds four defensive rebounds, one assist, one steal and two fouls.

Contributing shooters were Mariah Marmolejo with four points, one offensive rebound, six defensive rebounds, two assists and five fouls; Jocelyn Jimenez with four points, five defensive rebounds and one foul; Milee Thomas with four points, one offensive rebound, three defensive rebounds and two fouls; K’mree Nino with three points, one defensive rebound, two assists and two fouls; Abigail Loeza with two points and two defensive rebounds; Erika Oltivero with one point, one assist and two fouls; and Braylynn Chavira with one point.

The Bobbies will travel to take on River Road on Nov. 15 and Hale Center on Nov. 21.
