The Dimmitt Bobcats scored a big win over the Tulia Hornets, 68-44.

Dimmitt took charge in the first quarter, gaining a signifi cant lead over the Hornets, 23-8, and continued to widen the gap in the second quarter, ending the first half with a 4015 lead.

Tulia battled in the third quarter, but the Bobcats continued to outscore the Hornets, 59-29.

The fourth quarter sealed the Bobcats’ victory, 68-44.

The Bobcats scored 14-of-49 field goals with 7-of-28 three-pointers, 3-of-10 free throws, collected 34 rebounds, seven assists, had 27 turnovers and 12 fouls.

Top shots for Dimmitt were Daunte Perez with 15 points, one offensive rebound, two assists and four steals; Ivan Moreno, 14 points, two offensive and defensive rebounds, one assist, three steals and two fouls; and CJ Willey, 12 points, two offensive rebounds, one defensive rebound, two assists, two steals and one block.

Contributing shooters included David Fuentes, eight points, one defensive rebound, four assists, three steals and two fouls; Devin Enrique, seven points, two offensive and defensive rebounds, one assist, two steals and two fouls; William Van Zee, six points, one offensive rebound, one steal and one foul; Frankie Cortez, two points, four defensive rebounds, one assist, two steals and one foul; Ariel Perez, two points, two defensive rebounds, one assist and two fouls; and Damian Arriaga, two points, one offensive and defensive rebounds, one steal and two fouls.

Mario Lopez collected three defensive rebounds and one assist; and Frankie Rios had one assist.
